Given that the Archives is one of the fundamental historical institutions of Croatia, we used the square as the symbol of Croatia. The composition of this sign consists of a sequence of three precisely placed squares, which symbolizes a carefully structured archival material. The transparency of the squares, on the other hand, indicates the transparency and openness of the Archives to the public and the research community. The typography of the logo is of a traditional character, in line with the heritage of the Archives itself, while the composition of the words in the logo is actually a reflection of the composition of squares.
